Our organizational culture is recognized for its emphasis on community integration, its plural educational methods and its social commitment, which has given us national and international recognition.
The professionals trained over almost 50 years have come to hold important positions in public and private spheres, for which their contributions have achieved wide social repercussions.
In accordance with its Organic Law, the Autonomous Metropolitan University is under a functional and administrative decentralization regime that can plan and schedule the teaching it provides and its research and cultural dissemination activities, in accordance with the principles of academic freedom and research.
The UAM has designed the rules that govern it to designate its authorities; approve their study plans and programs; fully fulfill its purposes and manage its assets and resources.
We are structured in divisions, departments and research areas in each one of our five campuses to develop our substantive activities. The departmental model responds to social commitment by seeking solutions to national and global problems.
The University is made up of Collegiate Bodies and Unipersonal Entities.
